Owen's First Easter Basket

I had so much fun putting together Owen's very first Easter basket! I tried to fill it with things he will enjoy!

A bib for the occasion, several books (some religious and some seasonal), his own smart phone, some rattles, some eggs filled with change and a Jellycat bunny.

Someone already likes part of it!

And another someone always has to "help."

Dreaded Shots

Ugh, inevitable shots. Dreaded. Cursed. Feared.

We chose an alternative vaccination schedule where we go to the doctor each month but this way he only gets half the given shots at a time.

Let me just say that I know shots are important and needed for his sake and for the sake of society, but boy it was hard to watch. Mama cried a whole lot worse than little man. Hopefully I'll get better.

Owen really was a trooper and he handled them like a champ. I've never scooped him up so fast. He's such a great little guy.

I'm sure we'll have many escapades getting shots over the next few years, but we have one under our belt. Whew. One down... many, many to go.

Mommy and Owen

I love my Owen. We are becoming fast friends. He takes great care in whacking us upside the head since he's discovered he can move his arms. :) Oh the things we discover together each day. It is just incredible.
