Santa's Workshop

This weekend was for the birds. For real. Daredevil's bring-a-friend to sport class day got cancelled at the last minute. The fall festival we were going to attend got cancelled due to inclement weather (that never actually occurred). I arrived late to a friend's Pampered Chef party. The item I was in search of at Kohl's had gone up in price. I couldn't find a new outfit for family photos. And on and on and on. Then Daredevil stayed up last night until 2:30 AM.

Like I said, this weekend was for the birds.

I did work on getting a lot of Christmas gifts wrapped and organized. My dining room and guest bedroom look like Santa's workshop.

 And he was dressed so cute for our family photos yesterday. He wasn't too impressed at this point, but it was too funny not to post.

For anyone who's keeping track, I finally got everything fixed and the posts from the past three weeks are all live now. I'm not sure why they didn't post initially but they are posted now!

Problems

Apparently my blog posts for the past two weeks or so haven't published correctly... well, they haven't published at all. I'm hoping this posts correctly. If so, then I think I fixed what was wrong and I'll back publish the other stuff when Daredevil takes his nap today (hopefully).

Have ya'll missed me? It was unintentional. My mom brought it to my attention yesterday and I haven't had a chance to look it over until today.

October is for Pumpkins!!!

September may be for apples but that means that October is for pumpkins! But, this year, we did both apples and pumpkins at each orchard. This time, we barely beat the rain, but we did! We had a blast with some good friends. Plukking some apples and finding the perfect punkins. Daredevil found one called a cannonball. It looks just like a little cannonball. So cute!! I also got some apple cider. Awesome.

Even though I got caught in the rain, it was still a fun day and daredevil took a nice, long nap as soon as we got home and I got to catch up on all of our DVR'd premieres!! Oh, the little things.

Far Out, Brussel Sprout

 This post is really a two parter.

1. Our gardening days are over for the season. I didn't plant any fall veggies and we went out last weekend and got rid of everything that was still there so it's ready for them to till up at the end of the month.

2. I found this shirt at the Dollar Tree for $1 (duh, obv) and my awesome awesome MIL by friend-marriage totally put this fun saying on it for us. How fun is that. I love my Daredevil in fun shirts.

2 Cont. She really needs to open her own business. She's awesome.

1 Cont. And I'm already planning my garden (for home) for next spring!!!! I'm so looking forward to my garden being here at home. After 6 years, it will be a reality!!

And, ok, I lied, maybe 3 parter...

3. We already put up all our deck gear and winterized the house. Boo. We're enjoying the wide open deck but I can't believe its really time for all that. Jeez, summer's truly over. Already? It's October??? Say, what???

Family Photos

I love pictures in general. Family photos and photos of my Daredevil specifically.

The problem for me is figuring out what to put everyone in. Does anyone else have this problem? Ugh. I tell you. There are times I've bought all new outfits. Times I've used things we've had except maybe for a few small accents. Times I've been super ahead of the game and prepared. Times I've thrown stuff together the day of.

I always have a plethora of cute outfits to choose from for Daredevil. My husband is easy enough as he only has a types of outfits, if you know what I mean. I have things I like, but I have a hard time putting it together. To have enough color/texture/coordination but not too much, you know? And, for outdoor at this time of year do you go toward fall or winter?

Yes, I've scoured Pinterest, checking photogs sites, looked at some magazines (anyone else a lover of Click out there?) and just brainstormed. Either way, I've got nothing. Literally. I know I'm wearing leggins and boots and Daredevil and Mr Tech Guy will be in jeans. That's all I have so far.

Does anyone have any tips or advice? I'm game for anything. Our pictures are on Sunday morning and I've yet to nail down outfits.
